Field Account Manager

The Field Representative will work closely with the Estimating and Design Team to oversee the field usage of all products provided by BASE.  This position will act as a liaison to serve as a point of contact between the field and office to help investigate any discrepancies related to material or products, with most of the time spent in the field at various Van Metre communities. The Estimating and Design Team will give guidance as issues with takeoffs arise which may need clarification in the field, as well as relying on what you see that could help alleviate future issues with material shortages or extras.

Responsibilities:

• Site Verification for terrain, potential obstacles, and measurement verifications


• Data Collection of material usage to refine estimates and takeoffs


• Perform material takeoffs in the field


• Identify Problems or potential problems before, during and after the construction process


• Oversee quality control of material use in the field by relaying estimating and design intent


• Inspect and report damaged trusses


• Work closely and communicate with Construction Managers


• Assist with inventory and inventory audits


• Communicate effectively with all staff and employees


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1 year of construction experience


• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


• General knowledge of building materials (i.e. Structural components, interior trim, and exterior trim)


• Ability to read architectural plans


• Ability to accurately utilize a tape measure and level


• Ability to apply math, writing, and language skills


• Ability to lift 80 pounds


• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred


• OSHA training preferred


• Bilingual preferred


• Must possess a valid driver’s license


• Must consent to perform or provide a current Motor Vehicle Record


• Must meet company driving record requirements

Compensation and Benefits information: Van Metre offers excellent benefits, and a work environment that fosters and rewards excellence. • Base Salary: $60,000-$70,000 annually (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
