Yard Worker

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Yard Worker is responsible for assembling orders and preparing goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects, and stores incoming materials and supplies. Uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Also responsible for moving all products to storage or other designated areas by hand dolly, forklift, or pallet jack.

Position Summary:

Essential Responsibilities

• Pick orders with forklift equipment.


• Pick, pack and release orders to ensure timely delivery to customers.


• Ensure order accuracy with attention to detail.


• Maintain cleanliness in the yard through routine, daily maintenance.


• Assist Manufacturing unload wall panels from the production line.


• Assists with the proper and timely processing of paperwork.


• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.


• Meet reasonable production guidelines.


• Responsible for adhering to all safety rules


• Other duties as assigned.

Other Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferred 


• Training:  Forklift, Machinery preferred 


• Experience: 2 years previous experience preferred 


• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skills 

Working Conditions:

• Physical Demands of Job: Requires vision, speech, and hearing


• Environmental Factors: Outside weather conditions, Construction site and manufacturing facility exposure


• Hours of Work: 6:00AM to 2:30PM Monday through Friday *Please work directly with departmental head for more specifics on hours of arrival and departure as these may vary*

• Salary: $19.50 - $21.50 hourly (Pay is commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills)
