Van Millwork is currently searching for a reliable, professional, and energetic individual to fill our Driver opportunity.

Job Summary

As a representative for Van Millwork you are responsible for delivering superior Customer Service in a professional manner both in appearance and mannerisms. Strong focus on health and safety for self and for others.

General Accountabilities

• Checks vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maneuvers trucks into loading or unloading positions, checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
• Collects delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Checks all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
• Deliver orders and stack neatly as not to create damage to the material or any property of the customer at the jobsite
• Takes picture of paperwork and the delivery with company phone
• Maintains logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
• Reports vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
• Secures cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers.
• Inventories and inspects goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
• Operates equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
• Checks conditions of truck after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.
• Reads and interprets GPS to determine vehicle routes.
• Loads and unloads trucks, or helps others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.
• Removes debris from loaded trucks.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Desired
• 1-2 years of experience as a truck driver
• Valid Drivers' License
• Ability to obtain DOT Health Card
• Valid Forklift training certificate desired
• Able to carry 50 lbs. on a consistent basis
• Comfortable driving 24’ box truck

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
