Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Technician to join our team. Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate dietary needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition plans.
- Assist in managing tube feeding protocols for patients requiring specialized nutritional support.
- Monitor and document patient intake and dietary compliance.
- Educate patients and their families on dietary practices related to health conditions.
- Maintain accurate records within the dietary department systems.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and standards in meal preparation and service.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary or nutrition-related role, preferably within a hospital or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of human physiology and its relation to dietetics is essential.
- Familiarity with geriatric care practices is highly desirable.
- Experience with patient assessment techniques and dietary planning is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
