The Leasing Consultant is responsible for assisting all customers, both potential and existing with their housing and maintenance needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
Ensure that all incoming calls are answered timely and courteously throughout the business day with a caring attitude
· Greet all customers as they enter the downtown leasing area and ensure that their needs are met in a timely manner
· Manage other office activities so that receiving incoming calls and greeting customers are top priorities
· Assist with additional administrative projects and duties as requested by the Leasing Director
· Respond to resident requests promptly and courteously and resolve resident issues in a manner beneficial to the tenant and the Company
· Maintain a working knowledge of company and community policies and be able to explain them to residents and potential residents
· Have a comprehensive working knowledge of all lease related documents and be able to accurately complete the documents in a timely manner
· Continually be aware of competitive communities’ rent levels and amenities as well as area facts and statistics
· Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude to residents and potential residents
· Qualify potential residents and work to place them in housing that best fits their needs, desires and/or restrictions
· Assist the tenant with the move-in process by providing access and verifying satisfaction on the date of move in
· Follow up with all new residents with thank you notes and phone calls as appropriate
· Complete training of fair housing laws, its policies and practices and be fair and consistent in upholding these and all company policies
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- 40-hour work week
- Valid driver's license and insurance
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Proficiency with PC systems and Microsoft Office Software
- Excellent Oral and written skills
- Prior sales experience and/or tax credit experience a plus
