JOB DESCRIPTION
On-Site Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing repairs, preventative maintenance including general plumbing and electrical repairs for all assigned properties. This position will be very visible to guests and residents and should present a professional demeanor at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
An On-Site Maintenance Technician must possess the following essential requirements:
- Must be available for night/weekend on-call duty
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Exhibit professional behavior and dress as required by Van Rooy
- Present a professional demeanor to guest, residents and co-workers
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and hand tools suitable for maintenance-related work
- Physical capabilities to carry out job responsibilities including the ability to lift 80-100 lbs. stand or kneel for extended periods of time, ability to walk, talk and have use of both hands.
- Must have basic knowledge and experience in all areas of residential plumbing, electrical, interior/exterior maintenance.
- HVAC Certification strongly desired
- Must have the knowledge and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to electrical and lighting systems, HVAC and plumbing systems
