Duties
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of the assigned property within a designated region. Your primary duties will include:
- Managing and supervising property staff
- Developing and implementing strategies to maximize property performance and profitability
- Conducting regular property inspections to ensure compliance with company standards
- Monitoring and analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Collaborating with property staff to develop and implement leasing and marketing strategies
- Ensuring timely completion of property maintenance and repairs
- Reviewing financial reports and budgets to monitor property performance
- Providing guidance and support to property managers in resolving tenant issues
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Proven experience in property management, preferably in tax credit and affordable housing
- Strong knowledge of property management principles, practices, and regulations
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as file management, record keeping, and report generation
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, staff, and stakeholders
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare budgets, and monitor expenses
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing regulations
