Overview :
Our company is looking for a motivated and reliable Service Manager / Writer for our {LOCATION}. Van's Auto Service & Tire Pros has been family owned and operated for over 30 years providing 5-star customer service. Have you worked in retail / sales / or automotive industries? Do you have great customer service skills and can deliver outstanding customer service? Can you build relationships with customers and inform them of their needs of their vehicle whether on the phone or in person? Then this is the company for you!
Responsibilities :
- Assisting customers through the tire buying process and presenting needed repairs.
- Ensure sales goals are being achieved through extensive tire knowledge, various service types and products in the automotive industry
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
- Proactive with demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the sales team and service department
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift, carry and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business mentality with the drive to hit expected goals
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a service writer role strongly preferred
- Computer skills and point of sale proficiency
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with great attendance.
- All candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid drivers license with a clean MVR history.

Physical Requirements :
This job operates in an automotive shop environment. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
