Responsibilities:
- Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and assist patients in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the office calendar.
- Verify patient information and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Medical Billing Assistance:
- Assist in preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies.
- Review and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Work with patients to resolve billing questions and concerns.
- Ensure that medical billing is accurate and up to date with current coding practices.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to ensure accurate billing and coding.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a front desk or administrative role, preferably in a medical office.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing practices is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google Workspace and experience with medical software (e.g., EHR/EMR systems) is a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
