ABOUT THE POSITION
Environmental Project Manager - Permitting | Watertown or Worcester, MA offices
VHB's growing Natural Science team is looking to add an Environmental Project Manager - Permitting. This position is a combination of work in the field and office, providing excellent growth opportunity within a vibrant team of professionals.
Responsibilities :
Lead local, state, and federal wetland permitting applications and assists with public involvement activities
- Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish needs and discuss permitting issues
- Work within or lead a team of professionals to conduct a wide array of ecological, wildlife and water resources related studies and analysis for a multitude of environmental, land development and energy (transmission and renewables) projects (e.g., wetland functional assessments, wildlife habitat evaluations, and rare species surveys)
- Conduct detailed and robust alternatives analyses to support permit applications
- Data analysis and technical report writing
- Conduct and be capable of leading a team in the field delineating wetlands and watercourses on various project sites and for a variety of market sectors in accordance with state and federal procedures
- This position includes field work in all seasons
- This position includes travel for site visits
