ABOUT THE POSITION
Transportation Engineer / Traffic Engineer - MA - Hybrid
At VHB, we're looking for a passionate Transportation / Traffic Engineer to become a key member of our dynamic Transportation Systems Group in New England. If you thrive in a collaborative and inclusive work environment, we might be the perfect fit for you!
You'll be engaged in exciting projects that focus on planning, designing, and providing construction support for temporary traffic control, construction phasing, and smart work zone design and implementation, all according to MUTCD and AASHTO guidelines. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to traffic signal design and transportation planning support.

Responsibilities
Development of simple-to-complex Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP), including traditional and smart work zones and construction phase service planning for state, municipal and private clients.
- Development of Construction Phasing Design Plans detailing traffic staging for multi-year, multi-stage construction projects.
- Work within a team of professionals to draft plans, calculation book, estimates and specifications for a variety of transportation projects.
- Writing technical reports and memoranda.
- Perform engineering field work as needed.
- Mentorship of junior staff.
