The Custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and proper upkeep of assigned areas of the facility. This position will serve as the lead for maintaining floors, including stripping, buffing, and waxing. The custodian is also responsible for closing and securing the campus.
The current hours for this position are approximately Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 12 AM and Friday from 2:00 PM to 8 PM. Hours are subject to change based on class offerings each semester. This position is responsible for closing and securing the campus.

- Operating and maintaining all necessary equipment used to maintain cleanliness of carpets and tile floors.
- Keep lab and classroom areas clean and sanitized to meet inspections.
- Remove trash & recycle from offices, bathrooms, hallways, outside trash bins, and parking lot.
- Report any outdoor lighting outages.
- Maintain adequate bathroom and housekeeping supply stocks and place orders as needed with administrative team.
- Keep and disinfect bathrooms.
- Maintain organized janitorial closets.
- Assist in keeping campus clean and safe.
- Report safety hazards and any other facility issues to Campus administration.
- Strip, wax, buff floors using floor maintenance equipment.
- Vacuum and spot clean carpets on a weekly basis.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Dust mop and damp mop floors.
- Sanitize high-traffic areas.
- Clean HVAC vents.
- Clean light fixtures.
- Remove snow from sidewalks, bridges, steps and walkways.
- Assist the ground keeping staff with special projects, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Dean / Dean of Corporate Learning & PD.
- High School Diploma; experience in industrial cleaning and good customer service
- Floor Tech experience strongly preferred (not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
