Attendance/Media Clerk
Attendance: 6 hours per day, 10 months per year
Media: 2 hours per day, 10 months per year

Qualifications
Salary range: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service in a similar occupational status from other Washington School Districts or Education School Districts, may receive experience credit towards salary placement. Salary schedules can be accessed here.

Qualifications
- Possess a high school degree or comparable equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of job related experience which demonstrates ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision and function in a dynamic, fast-paced, continually changing environment with frequent interruptions, OR
- Documented credits from an accredited university, college, community college, or business school may be used to fulfill or help fulfill the one (1) year of job-related experience. Forty-five (45) quarter credits or thirty (30) semester credits are equivalent to one full year of job-related experience.
- Recency (prior 10 years) and substance of work experience will be considered in determining applicant qualifications
- Experience which demonstrates excellent customer service abilities, interpersonal skills, team player attitude, and the ability to manage situations
- Experience which demonstrates a high level of attention to, and management of, detailed information
- Experience which demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience which demonstrates excellent problem solving, analytical, and conflict resolution skills and ability to think quickly
- Experience which demonstrates excellent written communication skills and which demonstrate the ability to compose and proof correspondence, as needed
- Experience using Microsoft Office/Suite (including Word and Excel)
- Experience using Microsoft Office/Suite (including Access and PowerPoint) preferred
- Possess skill in working with numbers, mathematical computations, and worksheets
- Willing to learn new technology
- Working knowledge and demonstrated experience in Gmail, Absence Management, Pagemaker or similar desktop publishing programs, and Student Information System through Skyward is preferred
- Ability to interpret written/oral directives and to apply district rules, regulations, procedures, and policies
- Ability to understand, recognize, and protect highly confidential information
- Ability to operate office machines and equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate with and appreciate individuals from diverse, socio-economic backgrounds

- Ability to establish, manage, and maintain accurate files and records for district reports
- Ability to coordinate, review, and direct staff, students, parents, and/or volunteers while maintaining effective working relationships
- Demonstrated experience with applying rules and regulations for Becca Bill reporting
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of automation systems (systems automation, Follett Destiny, MARC, etc)
- Ability to lift and move moderately sized objects up to 50 pounds
- Regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program requirements
- Treat co-workers, supervisors, students, parents and others with dignity and respect at all times
- Serve as a positive role model for students, and practices the behaviors that are expected of our students
- Work in a flexible and cooperative manner
- Maintain records on student absenteeism/discipline
- Contact parents of chronically absent students and discipline issues
- Communicate frequently with the administration, building secretary, enrollment clerk, teachers and security
- Communicate with administrators/counselors regarding student discipline issues and student absences
- Track student absences and discipline, track parent contacts and communications (both in oral and written form) taken to improve attendance, discipline and follow-up discipline
- Add students’ names and Becca information to shared file
- Answer telephone and forward messages
- Run and submit ALE report monthly
- Compile and archive ongoing Alternative Learning records including documentation of count for ALE
- Manage the library and textbook automation system (Follett) and process student library records by entering, modifying and deleting patron information
- Maintain library and textbook materials and 1:1 devices; enter and delete library and textbook materials, maintain books and instructional materials by bar coding, stamping, labeling, covering and repairing, perform routine database maintenance and general necessary reports, conduct annual inventory of library and textbook materials and circulate and re-shelve materials
- Manage/assist with library and textbook materials by placing orders for materials with Destiny, processing incoming materials, manage/assist with textbook inventory and audit, and assist with removal of materials
- Provide guidance in use of technology, software and online resources by providing basic troubleshooting support to students and teachers
- Perform routine maintenance, inventory and scheduling of equipment
- Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by administrator in alignment with their job classification
