Position Overview


We’re committed to building a standout team that reflects our values, and we’re looking for a Senior Recruiting Manager to lead the way. As the Senior Recruiting Manager, you’ll lead all aspects of talent acquisition with a proactive, relationship-driven approach. This role goes far beyond filling roles – you’ll act as a brand ambassador, storyteller, and culture-builder, inspiring candidates to see their future with Vandelay Hospitality Group.


You’ll focus on identifying exceptional talent across the industry – from experienced leaders to emerging hospitality graduates – and guide them through an engaging and authentic hiring experience that reflects our values and standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as a true brand ambassador in every interaction – representing VHG’s culture, values, and vision in all communications, interviews, events, and candidate experiences
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleges, universities, and hospitality schools
  • Attend and lead in-person campus recruiting events, job fairs, and info sessions
  • Oversee internship and early-career programs in collaboration with department leaders and Human Resources Business Partner
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop clear job descriptions and ideal candidate profiles
  • Proactively source and engage passive candidates through targeted outreach and networking
  • Build strategic talent pipelines for key roles and future growth areas
  • Optimize the use of ATS and recruiting tools to enhance efficiency and experience
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and use data to continuously improve the hiring process


Qualifications


  • 7 years of progressive recruiting experience, with at least 2 years in a strategic or leadership role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Background in hospitality, restaurant, or lifestyle service industries strongly preferred
  • Proven success in passive candidate sourcing and employer branding
  • Experience developing college recruiting strategies and managing school partnerships
  • Comfortable speaking at events and engaging with talent in person and online
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • A natural storyteller who can inspire candidates to join the VHG journey
  • Strong knowledge of ATS platforms and recruiting tools (e.g., ADP, harri)
  • Commitment to high standards, integrity, and a people-first mindset
