Vander Haag’s has a great opportunity for an experienced Diesel Service Technicians (Diesel Mechanic) to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa.
ASE Certification is preferred, but not required. Vander Haag’s offers:

At Vander Haag’s, no two days are exactly the same. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of different heavy duty truck makes and models! General duties include:
- All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair
- Engine diagnostics and overhauls
- Drivetrain
- Electrical
- DOT inspections
- PM maintenance
- Hydraulic systems
- Fabrication
Hours: Day shift hours, four days per week! Schedule can be set for Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required!
Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation overtime. Hourly rate will range from $25.00 - $40.00/hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications (e.g., ASE Certifications, etc.).
Tools: Vander Haag’s offers flexible arrangements to assist you with the purchase of additional tools (if necessary). We also sell Milwaukee power tools right at our store locations!
