What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Service Technician position at Vander Haag's, Inc.?
Vander Haag’s, Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician to join the team at our shop located in Council Bluffs, IA. This position comes with a flexible schedule (4 work days per week) with no evening hours, weekends, or on-call hours. All repairs at Vander Haag’s are completed in a clean, well-lit, air conditioned shop that is equipped with overhead cranes and hoists. Vander Haag’s, Inc. is an independent repair shop. This means you get the opportunity to work on a wide range of Class 6 – 8 trucks, and your income isn't based on trying to make "book time" on warranty repairs! Repairs will be wide-ranging and include engine diagnostics and overhauls, transmission repair and replacement, electrical repairs, and more. This position will also occasionally offer assistance to other technicians for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Vander Haag’s, Inc. also offers:

ASE Certifications are preferred, but not required. 5 years of experience in heavy duty diesel (equipment and/or truck) is also preferred.
Compensation details: 35-45 Hourly Wage
