Vander Hyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is seeking a motivated Commercial Plumbing Apprentice / Helper in the Grand Rapids area!

The Commercial Plumbing Apprentice / Helper position performs a variety of functions that encompass the plumbing department. The purpose of the Plumbing apprentice (helper) is to assist Lead Plumbing personnel in the completion of their work activities, gaining knowledge and experience in preparation for becoming a journeyman.

Construction Plumbing Apprentice Duties and Responsibilities:
- The ability to work independently or as a team member
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Self-reliant to problem solve issues onsite
- Ability to maintain materials onsite and maintain productivity.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record
- 2 years’ experience
- Possess basic hand tools.

Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 4-day work week (Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts)
Pay Range: $17-$22/ per hour, based on experience.
