Long-Term Substitute Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. This position requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to fostering an engaging educational experience for all students.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Engage students in meaningful activities that promote learning and development.
• Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with special education requirements or autism.
• Assist with lesson planning and adapt materials as necessary to meet the needs of all learners.
• Supervise students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in tutoring or childcare is highly desirable.
• Background in early childhood education or special education is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
• Experience in preschool or private school settings is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
• A genuine passion for educating young minds and fostering a love for learning.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
