Job Summary : JOB SUMMARY

Research Assistant I needed with a positive attitude, analytical thinking skills, an attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to join basic science laboratory and team-based project. The preferred applicant will have had experience in biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, and / or protein purification.

A Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline is required. At least one year of research experience is required. Additional training will be provided consistent with the goals of the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide, under direct supervision, support for specified research projects; collect, assess, and communicate data / results.

Assist in general laboratory operation and inventory.

Duties will include :

  • Preparation of standard buffers and common use reagents
  • Generation of recombinant DNA reagents needed for preparation of site-directed mutants and strains
  • Expression and purification of proteins from bacterial and mammalian cells
  • Execution of ELISA based protein assays.
  • Analysis of protein-protein binding interactions and affinity.
  • Execution of cell-based functional assays.
