Account Representative Intern

Here’s what you can expect in the role as an Account Representative Intern:

The Account Representative position exists to resolve delinquency through negotiation and problem-solving, while adhering to company, state, and federal guidelines. Success in the position is achieved by strategically educating customers on the importance of paying in a timely manner.

Job Duties

• Manages the delinquency of a portfolio of mortgage loans through the leveraging various forms of communication, application of assistance options and creative problem solving.
• Understands and adheres to all relevant state and federal compliance guidelines relating to debt collection practices.
• Partners with multiple departments to learn and educate on current and new processes.
• Lead and participate in special projects aimed at streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and developing tools or solutions that make daily tasks easier for the team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

What You’ll Need To Qualify

• Currently Junior or Senior enrolled in business-related Bachelor’s/Master’s degree program focusing on Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Management.
• Computer competency with Microsoft Office, including Word typing skills at minimum 25 wpm and Excel, formulas and features.
• Must have strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to effectively address challenges and collaborate across teams.
• Manage multiple deadlines, complete tasks timely and follow up as needed, and manage multiple duties with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external customers via phone, email and fax.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• 75% communication completed over the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
• Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
• Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
