About the Job
The Intervention Specialist will provide direct supervision and instruction to elementary school students at Roberts Academy. The role involves delivering instruction in small groups, primarily in reading and math, implementing curricula and programs of the school. Additionally, some instruction may be delivered to a whole class of up to 12 students.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, orderly learning environment that contributes to children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Conscientiously supervise children.
- Implement the school's programs and curricula.
- Attend and contribute to faculty meetings.
- Establish and implement behavior management in accordance with a positive behavior support approach.
- Regularly assess student performance.
- Complete educational assessments using measures appropriate for the student.
- Use approved assessment tools to collect information regarding current levels of performance for all children in the classroom.
- Use data from ongoing data collection to inform instruction for individual children and classroom planning and make necessary changes when appropriate.
