Vanderburgh County Community Corrections invites applications for Residential Officers to fill male posts maintaining safety and security within our Work Release Facility. Vanderburgh County offers a rewarding career in the field of corrections that includes:

Job Duties
The Residential Officer positions maintain the safety and security of Vanderburgh County Community Corrections. Residential Officers respectfully communicate and work closely with participants. Duties include:
- -Monitoring and controlling access to the facility and restricted areas
- -Operating doors, equipment, and alarms
- -Monitoring participants
- -Conducting formal, informal and emergency counts
- -Meal Pass
- -Conducting searches for contraband
- -Report Writing
- -Communicating pertinent information to coworkers and supervisors
- -Basic Computer Skills
- -Searching participants upon return to facility
- -Giving breathalyzers daily and random urine screens
Job Type: Full-time
Longevity pay increase every 5 years in addition to cost of living and contract increases
Education Requirements
- High school or equivalent
Must be able to have the following shift availability:

Pay: $21.16 - $26.95 per hour
