Primary Duties & Essential Functions:

- Plumbing Repairs and Services
- Carpentry
- Exterior Ground Keeping
- Roofing
- Painting
- Masonry
- Miscellaneous
- Custodial
Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years’ experience in the trades of assisting and maintaining buildings, rental apartments and single-family homes.
- Working knowledge in being able to handle multiple types of repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
- Must live within 30 minutes of main campus.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities.
Abilities and Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work a 40-hour work week and ability to be available on rotating weekends/after-hours emergency coverage.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with no restrictions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to respond to the needs of a culturally diverse population.
- Travel to residences and agency properties.
- Ability to deal positively with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Display a positive, professional and proactive attitude to accomplish quality work that is in line with the agency’s mission statement.
- Seek opinions, alternative viewpoints in decision making. Understand and respect the expertise and experience of others, appreciate the different views, and the perspective and limitations of other individuals.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00
