Vanderheyden is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for part-time in our Community Services programs. The DSP is responsible for maintaining an environment of care that is safe & therapeutic, providing direct care to individuals per agency policy, implementing appropriate supervision according to daily schedules, dispensing medication per agency policy, and safely transporting individuals as assigned per level of supervision required.
Required Education, Knowledge, and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform restraints and maintain TCI or SCIP certification
