Director of Accounting

Director Of Accounting Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations across domestic and international sites.
- Manage accounting staff, providing mentorship and training as needed.
- Review accounting transactions for revenue, costing, and overhead to ensure accuracy.
- Lead corporate financial reporting, audits, and technical accounting trainings.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and GAAP compliance of financial reporting functions.
- Collaborate with corporate finance team to develop and implement new accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
- Ad-hoc cost analysis and financial reporting.
- Occasional domestic travel required.
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Must have experience with a publicly traded company either through industry or audit consultancy work while working in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and SEC requirements.
- CPA preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing industry preferred.
- Government accounting preferred.
- Revenue Recognition ASC 606 standards preferred.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage priorities to meet deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
