Apparel Product Testing Analyst Responsibilities
- Conduct product testing to assess performance, fit, and comfort.
- Develop and implement testing methodologies for apparel and related products.
- Analyze both qualitative and quantitative data to generate insights.
- Facilitate product evaluations while maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, technical development, and product management.
- Maintain professional standards when handling sensitive product testing environments.
- Create detailed reports to summarize testing outcomes and present findings to leadership.
- Develop strategies to enhance testing practices and drive improvements in data collection.
- Build and maintain relationships with test participants, including athletes and general consumers.
- Facilitate discussions around body perception and comfort during product trials.
- Ensure that testing practices are ethical, respectful, and aligned with industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in product testing, consumer research, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in apparel creation, product testing, consumer research, or related industries (e.g., automotive, food, general product testing).
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive discussions related to body comfort and perception.
- Proven ability to maintain discretion and professionalism in testing environments.
- Familiarity with software tools such as SPSS, Qualtrics, SigmaPlot, Airtable, Smartsheets, or similar.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Passion for sport and an understanding of apparel performance testing are a plus.
