Buyer Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Issue purchase orders, manage changes in specifications or delivery schedules, and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Assist in inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
- Stay updated on market trends, product developments, and pricing that affect goods and services.
- 2 years of recent buying, purchasing, or procurement experience.
- Proven ability to effectively handle large volume of vendors negotiating contracts.
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
- ERP systems proficiency required; exposure to SAP or similar highly preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Organized with excellent attention to detail.
