Director of Finance and Accounting Responsibilities
- Lead the functional vision and strategy for the division, driving improvements for long-term profitability and value creation.
- Oversee the direction, training, coordination, and evaluation of finance staff to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Serve as the key liaison with corporate finance team for divisional financial activities, including quarter close, internal controls, forecasts, budgets, and audit coordination.
- Sponsor and lead change management initiatives, participating in strategic and annual planning to align with organizational goals.
- Ensure legal compliance, risk management, and monitor organizational adherence to regulations.
- Ad-hoc cost analysis and financial reporting.
Director of Finance and Accounting Qualifications
- Must have prior manufacturing industry experience; public industry a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of SOX, GAAP, and SEC reporting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Prior system implementation experience a plus.
- Strong executive communication, strategic agility, and negotiation abilities.
