Our busy client is looking for an experienced internal auditor to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have prior audit experience in public accounting, be self-motivated and adaptable, and maintain a strong focus on results and continuous improvement. Primary Responsibilities
- Drive audit processes for multiple locations, to assess risk and ensure compliance with internal policies, US GAAP, and regulations.
- Review accounting transactions for quality and accuracy; research and reconcile as needed.
- Test internal controls and support continuous process improvements.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial reporting activities.
- 20-30% domestic travel required, must be able to work EST hours.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related is required.
- Active CPA license, CPA candidate, CIA or CISA is needed.
- 2 years of public accounting experience within an audit/assurance role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, quality assurance, and audit functions.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Collaborative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively prioritize and pivot between competing tasks.
This remote role requires up to 30% travel within the US.
