Merchandise Financial Planner
Our client is seeking a Merchandise Financial Planner to support inline stores for North America, including owned retail locations, clearance stores, employee outlets, shopping centers, and innovation hubs. The primary focus of this role is to manage revenue and inventory health to align with financial objectives. The Merchandise Financial Planner will oversee products intentionally purchased for stores as well as clearance items, ensuring inventory aligns with revenue goals.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Merchandise Financial Planner Responsibilities
- Develop and lead multi-season merchandise financial plans, including revenue, margin, and inventory targets, for geo, gender, and marketplace units.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify revenue and inventory trends, guiding decision-making processes.
- Integrate top-down financial targets with bottom-up assortment planning to achieve strategic financial objectives, leveraging available supply and consumer insights.
- Align assortment plans with merchandise financial plans to maintain consistency with consumer strategies.
- Drive inventory management by determining cross-unit trade-offs to enhance consumer demand, optimize margins, and maintain inventory health.
- Provide strategic guidance for multi-season fiscal planning and financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planning, finance, and location planning to achieve financial targets both pre-season and in-season.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, assortment, and merchandise financial planning.
- Proven experience with inventory management from a planning perspective.
- Ability to analyze data to identify revenue and inventory trends.
- Experience in merchandise financial planning within the marketplace is preferred.
- Open-to-buy (OTB) experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into action.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to build positive relationships across functions.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
