UX/UI Designer
As a UX/UI Designer, you are passionate about planning and crafting effortless and elegant online experiences. Your work is solution-oriented, creating intuitive products that empower users. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented and can collaborate closely with our partners to develop and bring to life their digital brands. Every day, you’ll work with clients and our creative team to inform design systems, prototype and solve complex problems for websites, e-commerce, and applications. Your unique voice elevates the design work and sets the tone of each project. You sweat the details and work across teams to ensure each solution performs and delivers on strategy, UX, and business goals.
This role is remote but our client is looking for someone located in the Portland area that can meet up to collaborate in person on occasion.
UX/UI Designer Responsibilities
Develop design systems and experiences for partners in collaboration with our Creative Director, other designers, content strategists, and developers.
Expand and iterate upon existing designs, UI components / component libraries as well as brand and style libraries.
Design with an understanding of grid systems and responsive / adaptive methodologies for a variety of viewports for web and mobile devices.
Deliver high-fidelity prototypes with detailed design expectations and specifications.
Keep up with current web standards and UI/UX best practices for content sites as well as e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce, etc.
Deep dive into usability & heuristic audits, user and market research, and testing
Participate in design reviews and participate in a culture of critique
Create prototypes of varying methods and levels of fidelity.
Create products and experiences that are accessible and inclusive for their users
UX/UI Designer Qualifications
3 years experience in user experience and/or customer experience design.
A curated portfolio / selection of digital design work that could include web design, ecommerce, and product-focused websites—bonus points for illustration, motion design and applied brand work. If your portfolio shines with an abundance of print, collateral design, or campaign / ad work, this role may not be a good fit for you at this time, but keep us on your list for another opportunity.
Ability to communicate and collaborate clearly with designers, strategists, developers, and client/partners.
Ability to contribute to team growth and process improvement.
Must be proficient in Figma — prototyping, auto-layout, shared design libraries—as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with motion design and Lottie is a plus.
Ability to articulate design decisions and UX rationale.
Ability and desire to contribute to team growth and process improvement.
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
