What are the responsibilities and job description for the ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST I position at VanDyk Mortgage?
Performing banking duties to include wiring funds from various banks. Working with closing department to troubleshoot any issues during the funding loans process. In addition, support, and backup to the Accounting Department.
Essential Job Functions
- Sending Funding Wires from our Warehouse Banks
- Process loan fundings and purchases daily
- Request end of day transfers to maintain proper balances
- On demand check request processing.
- Manage the expenses for multiple branch locations
- Manage the corporate purchasing card program
- Manage the appraisal payment process
- Responsible for preparing journal entries and various financial reports
- Assist in month-end closing procedures
- Excel work
- Supporting the Accounting Team.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
