DAY TO DAY AS A FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

As a Facilities Technician at Vangarden Cannabis, you will take on a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our facility, working under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of essential tasks, from performing routine maintenance and inspections of critical infrastructure-including racks, lights, fans, HVAC systems, and floor cleaners-to leading and training a team of facilities technicians. You will also collaborate with the Facilities Supervisor to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and an efficient maintenance program. In this hands-on position, you will be expected to respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions while safely operating various machinery and tools.

Additionally, you will assist with snow removal and general upkeep during inclement weather, ensuring a safe and productive work environment. Your contributions will significantly impact the efficiency and reliability of our operations, making this role vital to our success.

To excel as a Facilities Technician at Vangarden Cannabis, applicants must have at least two years of experience in a facilities role, with a strong background in mechanical, HVAC, and electrical maintenance. A thorough understanding of safety protocols, including OSHA regulations and internal safety guidelines, is essential for maintaining a secure work environment. The position requires physical capabilities such as standing for long periods, lifting 10-50 lbs, and navigating ladders and uneven surfaces. Candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching, and must be comfortable working at heights. Attention to detail is critical for managing complex processes and documentation, while strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with internal teams and external vendors. The ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and maintain clear, respectful communication is also important.
