Location: 88 Huntoon Memorial Hwy, Rochdale MA, 01542

Job Status: Full-Time

Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Direct Supervisor: VP of Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION The Packaging Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Packaging Department, including Packaging Supervisor(s) and Associates. The Packaging Manager will be responsible for ensuring the proper Packaging and Labeling of cannabis products, preparing products for distribution, as well as ensuring compliance while maintaining production goals. The Packaging Manager will maintain the highest standards of safety, hygiene & compliance practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day to day Packaging operations, ensuring safety and compliance with oversight from the VP of Operations
  • Lead, train, and supervise Supervisor(s) and technicians
  • Creation and monitoring of department metrics or KPI’s in alignment with company goals
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon departmental metrics or KPI’s
  • Providing guidance, feedback, and performance management to support the Packaging Supervisor’s growth and development
  • Ensure Packaging and Labeling regulations are adhered to
  • Monitor packaging stock to ensure packaging production schedules are uninterrupted
  • Ensure quality control guidelines are followed
  • Oversee inventory control procedures
  • Work with the VP of Operations to identify areas for process improvement and implement new procedures when necessary
  • Liaise with Scheduling, Cultivation, Product Manufacturing, and Sales to ensure efficient operations
  • Continuously clean, sanitize, and organize the workspace and machinery
  • Schedule preventative maintenance on machinery
  • Have a high attention to detail and ability to focus on complex & sensitive processes
  • Communicate with peers and management clearly, with kindness and respect

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 or more years of cannabis packaging experience is required
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of relevant packaging and labeling regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Comprehension of general packaging automation
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
  • Excellent time management and organization
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays to meet production goals
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as consistently lift 10-20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work seated and standing for extended periods of time on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and using your hands to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to complete tasks
