As a Packaging Technician 2 at Vangarden Cannabis, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe packaging of our high-quality consumer goods. After completing formal training on department-specific operating procedures, you will collaborate closely with the Packing Supervisor to execute assigned tasks in accordance with our established standard operating procedures. Your responsibilities will encompass vigilant attention to detail, ensuring accurate matching of SKUs, data, and external packaging information, as well as the safe handling of products to maintain consistency for our customers. You will uphold the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices while adhering to both internal policies and industry regulations.

Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing packaged goods for transfer, operating automated machinery with precision, and conducting quality checks throughout the packaging processes to ensure top-notch quality control. Your proactive maintenance of clean and organized work areas will also be key to our operational success.

The role demands physical stamina, requiring individuals to stand for long periods, walk, reach with hands and arms, and consistently lift 10-20 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Additionally, workers must be able to operate while seated and standing for extended periods on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while engaging in various movements such as climbing ladders, maneuvering through stairways, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. The position also necessitates the use of hands for tasks that involve holding, grasping, turning, picking, and pinching.
