Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $19 per hour

Direct Supervisor: Processing Supervisor

Experience Level: Entry Level; No Experience Required

JOB DESCRIPTION The Processing Technician 1 will be responsible for performing routine tasks in all Processing areas after formal training on department-specific operating procedures. Working with direction from the Processing Supervisor, the Processing Technician 1 will perform waste disposal, trimming, inspecting crops, assist with tasks within dry/cure, as well as assist with inventory management. Employees will be considered for promotion to Post Processing Technician 2 after completing 180 days of satisfactory service and completing their first formal performance evaluation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all routine tasks in Processing areas after training

Waste disposal

Hand and machine trimming

Tasks as assigned within dry/cure

Assist with quality control measures

Inspect crops

Assist with inventory management procedures

Continuously clean, sanitize, and organize your work space and machinery

Fill out detailed logs and forms for machinery processes and maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Have a high attention to detail and ability to focus on complex & sensitive processes.
• Stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as consistently lift 10-20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Work seated and standing for extended periods of time on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and using your hands to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to complete tasks
• Communicate with peers and management clearly, with kindness and respect
