Position Overview
The General Manager (GM) will play a critical role in launching and overseeing the operations of flagship location. This position requires a versatile leader who can manage day-to-day operations while ensuring compliance in a highly
regulated environment. The GM will set the standard for exceptional service, team management, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, cash handling, scheduling, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure adherence to state and local regulations governing the sale of cannabis products.
- Team Management
- Lead a team of 14-18 employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that aligns with values of inclusion and professional growth.
- Handle conflict resolution and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
Customer Experience
- Create a welcoming and educational environment for customers, promoting informed and responsible consumption.
- Implement strategies to elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Inventory and Cash Handling
- Manage inventory to ensure accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and minimal shrinkage.
- Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy and security.
Scheduling and Reporting
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage, especially during the store's opening period.
- Provide regular reports on sales, staffing, and operational metrics to upper management.
Qualifications
- 3 years of Retail Management experience
- Proven experience managing teams of 10 employees (14-18 preferred).
- Strong background in inventory management and cash handling.
- Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment, adhering to SOPs and compliance requirements.
- Experience in conflict management and problem-solving.
- Cannabis industry experience is not required but is a plus.
Work Schedule
- Must have flexibility to work varied hours, especially during the store’s initial launch phase.
