The Project Superintendent manages and oversees the day- to –day operations at the construction site of Solar, BESS and Microgrid Projects. The Project Superintendent’s primary purpose is to ensure that all construction projects are being built to VEP’s specifications. The Project Superintendent will coordinate with all subcontractors, labor and site logistics to ensure that construction will be on schedule.
The Project Superintendent is responsible for prompt and accurate communication to the Project Managers and Engineers about the status of a project. The Project Superintendent is responsible for monitoring the entire site daily to ensure VEP’s safety standards are upheld.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects for the installation of Photo Voltaic, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Microgrid and other Distributed / Onsite Energy Systems.
- Supervise subcontractors and labor crews to ensure the project conforms to the plans, specifications, schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate material and equipment logistics with the Project Engineer.
- Maintain and exceed labor production goals.
- Communicates as required to ensure subcontractor and vendor work is being done in accordance with the contract.
- Work with the construction team to maintain schedule and budget.
- Generate 3-week projects for the Project Managers.
- Interacts with Engineering and Estimating with feedback on estimates, cost, best practices, etc.
- Focus on safety, quality, production and client satisfaction.
- Conduct daily safety talks and job hazard analysis.
- Be an active member in VEP’s safety program.
- Work with Project Managers to obtain all inspections and ensure that the quality aspects of the physical work are fully documented.
- Manage all changes in project scope to ensure that subcontractors are aware of these changes. Report all scope changes to the project managers.
- Maintain daily paperwork including field reports, schedule updates and email correspondence.
- Save all project documents in the appropriate folders in the shared drives.
