Position Summary: Supply fabric to automated cutting machines for orders.
Position Responsibilities:
Pull fabric for orders and deliver to automated machines. Responsible for scanning fabric back in after it has been cut and put in the correct location for Weigh fabric back from cutting machines and put in correct bin location. Weigh fabric returning from outsource teams and from machine operators. Cycle count fabric bins to be sure inventory is correct. Pull fabric for swatch, scan out fabric, roll and tag the fabric to be sent out for processing. At the end of each shift take cut covers from the machine to the sewing department and put in designated area Roll fabrics for cut yardage, swatches and for other teams as needed. Notify supervisors or other personnel of quality and / or production problems. Reject fabrics not meeting specifications. Process production tickets by matching to fabrics staged for each production week, and delivering tickets and fabrics to cutters. Performs daily and other required inventory cycle counts. Maintains neat and orderly work station. Wears required safety glasses and other PPE as required; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor. Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience:
English required for reading tickets and job notes. Must be able to recognize quality problems with fabrics, leather hides, color variations and pattern design. Must be knowledgeable in AS400 and have basic computer skills. Must be detail oriented. Knowledge of fabric characteristics and repeat requirements for application to frame(s). Self-motivated and able to work well alone or with others. Good verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills. Must be a team player, cooperative, and have a good attendance record.

Physical demands and work environment:
Lift / Carry: ability to lift rolls weighing 50- 100 lbs. occasionally; team lift great weights or use mechanical lifting devices.Standing: Must be able to stand 8 hours. Push / Pull: Frequent push/pull motion associated with fabric positioning for measuring, storage (push) and delivery to cutters (pull).Reach / Handle / Grasp / Feel: Repetitive motions pinching, pulling, rolling, reaching across work table for manipulation of fabric or leather.Environment: Indoors, environmentally controlled – 100%.Tool Usage: Required to use box utility knife, scissors, hand cutter, weighing, measurement tools throughout the shift.Automation: Use of pallet jack or fork truck, fabric carts and other tools to aid in lift and movement.
