What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Quote Specialist position at Vanguard Furniture?
Position Summary: The Custom Quote Manager prepares custom quotes for inline styles for upholstery and casegoods based upon the customer’s customized order request. This position is an integral piece of the custom quote process, accuracy and attention to detail are paramount in providing the customer with a timely response to increase Custom Quote sales and enhance customer satisfaction
Position Responsibilities:
· Calculate custom quote pricing for all incoming custom requests for upholstery and case goods. This includes quoting COM (Customer-own-material) for upholstery.
· Collaborate with manufacturing custom quote team, product development and engineering team on custom quote projects.
· Respond to inquiries from customer service and manufacturing regarding custom quote product information.
· Review custom quotes for accuracy and proficiency.
· Work directly with high-profile customers on custom quote projects.
· Maintain and update upholstery parts price list.
· Analyze incoming custom quote orders for trends and present findings to Merchandising department.
· Responsible for quarterly custom quote reporting
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Advanced knowledge of upholstery and casegoods manufacturing.
· Ability to read furniture specification and cost sheets.
· 5 years of furniture manufacturing experience required.
· 5 years of custom quote and costing experience required.
· Engineering experience preferred
· CAD experience preferred.
· AS400 and CRM experience preferred.
· Must be an active listener with the ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook Email, Word)
