Job Title: Logistics Customer Service Coordinator

Vanguard Logistics Services is seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative to contribute to the retention of customers and revenue growth by identifying customer needs, resolving customer problems, providing pricing information and processing bookings.

The primary objective of this position is to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction by meeting and exceeding client requirements through effective communication, problem-solving, and proactive work with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding rates, which involves gathering customer information, quoting competitive rates, and responding to customer feedback regarding rates in a timely manner.
• Process bookings efficiently, including accurate input of customer and shipment details for LCL and FCL ocean shipments.
• Identify customer needs and research creative solutions and alternatives to meet those needs.
• Utilize various communication methods, including telephone and email, to ensure customer understanding and satisfaction. Communicate thoroughly and clearly to prevent misunderstandings.
• Take ownership of problems and remain engaged with the customer and all necessary parties until resolution is completed.
• Maintain the company's computerized customer profile database, including rates and services sold, as well as requirements pertinent to individual customers or shipments.
• Provide backup support to team members as needed.
• Complete tasks and projects assigned by management to ensure seamless operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Desirable transportation experience.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Exceptional work ethic, team-oriented mentality, positive attitude; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
