Outside Sales Executive / Chinese Trade Lane Manager

Location : LAX / West Coast Region

About the Role : Vanguard Logistics Services is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Executive / Chinese Trade Lane Manager to join our team. This role emphasizes expertise in the Trans-Pacific Eastbound (TPEB) trade lanes and requires fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) to effectively communicate and build relationships within this critical market.

As a key player in our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth, particularly within the Chinese trade lane. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in logistics, offering an expansive suite of services, including FCL, LCL, air, domestic transportation, innovative technology applications, and value-added solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Achieve sales targets through a consultative approach, providing innovative transportation and supply chain solutions for clients.
  • Focus on the TPEB trade lanes, identifying opportunities and building strong relationships within the Chinese trade lane market.
  • Develop new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and preparing quotations.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and international operations teams to deliver exceptional service to customers.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to identify growth opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Actively promote web tools, value-added services, and our suite of logistics solutions.
  • Negotiate contract rates and service agreements with new and existing clients.
  • Submit accurate reports within the required timeframe and ensure regular travel to assigned territories.

Qualifications :

  • Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is required.
  • Proven success in selling international freight services with a minimum of 5–7 years of freight forwarding sales experience, specifically focusing on TPEB lanes.
  • Strong understanding of import / export FCL services; LCL experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, business acumen, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts while consistently identifying new business opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Passion for personal and professional growth, team collaboration, and training.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
