Job Summary:
The QAQC Manager will assess quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) protocols for a special project located in Abilene, TX. This role is crucial in ensuring that all work meets industry standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and standards.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify and address potential quality issues.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to resolve quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to QA/QC activities, including reports, non-conformance reports, and quality records
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans tailored to specific project requirements, including checklists and inspection protocols.
- Monitor the performance of subcontractors and identify areas for improvement regarding electrical quality.
- Work closely with project engineers, site managers, and other trades to uphold quality standards throughout the project.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate QAQC and safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders regarding QAQC performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on QAQC performance metrics, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field preferred; and/or 5 years min. of on-the-job related experience.
- Proven experience in QAQC management within the electrical contracting industry.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 9001, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct site inspections and walk construction sites.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
