Job Summary:
We're hiring a Physician Assistant to split time between our Lincoln Park and Hawthorne offices.
The Physician Assistant will promote and maintain health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with physicians to identify and address patient care issues, offer relevant insights, and implement physician instructions for effective patient care.
- Evaluate patient health through interviews, physical exams, and medical history reviews.
- Identify medical conditions by conducting or ordering tests like X-rays, EKGs, and lab studies, and interpret the results.
- Maintain detailed patient records in Athena and other electronic systems.
- Perform various medical procedures, including administering injections, suturing, wound care, and immunizations.
- Educate and counsel patients on treatment plans, growth and development, family planning, emotional well-being, and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient management plans for seamless care continuity.
- Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established procedures, rules, and regulations, with a focus on infection control.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local laws and professional requirements, and provide guidance on necessary actions.
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements and practices by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the growth of the healthcare team by providing information, educational opportunities, and hands-on experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to achieve common objectives and deliver high-quality patient care.
