Job Summary:
The Triage Technician is responsible for rapidly diagnosing truck issues and determining the repair timeframe in accordance with Volvo/Mack UPTIME requirements. This role focuses on diagnosing faults and performing repairs if they can be completed within 2-4 hours. More complex issues are transferred to the advanced service bay. Additionally, during peak demand, the Triage Technician may assist with repairs as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect all completed work outlined on repair orders for efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on repair order.
- Roads test vehicles when required.
- Projects a positive image to customers by treating customers vehicles with respect.
- Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
- Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Always maintains a professional appearance and image. Maintains an overall attitude of cooperation to strive toward customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Consistently reliable and dependable and adheres to specified work schedules.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- Experienced in electrical, engine, transmission, air system, and driveline diagnostics.
- OEM dealership experience required.
- Volvo and Mack experience a plus.
- Strong communication skills, professional conduct, and dedicated work ethic.
- Valid Driver’s License – CDL is a plus.
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician experience required.
- Necessary tools to perform job responsibilities.
- Must consent to and successfully complete drug screen and background check, which will include criminal history and motor vehicle record review.

Pay: Technician Bonuses are not capped. Earing potential is unlimited.
