The Rental Sales Manager is the life blood of the company. They generate leads and new accounts, sign new rental business, create and maintain customer relationships, explain our products and services, maintain the account, and ensure customer satisfaction
Summary: The Rental Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for new rental business, expanding and adding additional rental business with existing accounts within an assigned sales territory and lead generation for FSL and Contract Maintenance.
The RSM shall be responsible for the development of Rental within their assigned territories by making weekly sales calls on prospective clients and assisting in the management of the Rental product line at designated locations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outside Sales and Inside Rental Coordination
- Aggressive active sales calls on prospective Customers.
- Develop new customers through weekly prospect calls.
- Develop and promote strong customers relations with existing accounts in assigned territory
- Assign and track proposal opportunities using Customer Relationship Managements (CRM) software - PipeDrive.
- Obtain necessary customer information for completion of rental contracts including credit applications and insurance requirements.
- Fully utilize Enrich Rental functions.
- Develop and conduct sales presentations to prospects.
- Network prospects through referrals, leads lists, and cold calls.
- Review weekly Turn Down Report and daily utilization report to identify areas needing more rental sales attention.
- Develop and execute Rental marketing plan for each branch, driving results through outside sales and inside telemarketing efforts.
- Work with National Rental Manager to establish rental pricing parameters based upon utilization and ROI.
- Provide evaluation and feedback to National Rental Manager and Branch Manager on rental sales performance and market trends.
- Travel to markets within our footprint and grow business opportunities.
Drive Rental Margin and Revenue Results:
- Monitor weekly and evaluate monthly to show performance versus goals
- Evaluate by branch for feedback and corrective action
- Track month to month to monitor, measure, and establish benchmarks for setting goals
- Check branch rental rates weekly to target vehicles falling below required monthly margins and utilization.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic knowledge of the selling process.
- Computer literacy and experience with CRM software.
- Effective communication and writing abilities.
- Strong sales abilities and organizational skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in outside sales especially face-to-face cold calling. Or a combination of education and experience
- Presentation skills to effectively present the products and services to the executive level of potential customers.
- Follow up with existing customers ensuring complete satisfaction of product and service.
- Frequent contact with the customer to proactively prevent or resolve issues.
- Ability to work well under stress and multi-task.
- Clean driving record and vehicle acceptable for calls and Customer visits.
