COMPANY BACKGROUND
Vanguard Utility Services is a privately held company that is dedicated to the resourceful use of water. We have been delivering automated metering solutions to address the unique challenges facing the water industry for over 20 years.
We are looking for a QC tech to quality-check water meters that have been replaced.
DESCRIPTION:
Vanguard is seeking highly motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join its team. Vanguard Utility Service has partnered with Deltona, FL to install water meters within the County. Vanguard is looking to fill a residential water meter QC technician position. If you are a self-starter, quality-minded, enjoy working outdoors. This may be the right position for you.
· Conduct utility water meter quality checks throughout assigned areas
· Read & record data information accurately in a mobile hand-held device, basic computer skills are helpful
· Follow standard operating procedures and company policies
· Communicate with utility customers effectively and respectfully
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working with handheld electronic devices
- Able to bend, stoop, and walk constantly
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone 90% of the time, while still being part of a local team
- Must be able to work outdoors and withstand the regional, seasonal weather.
- Should have reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic and dependable; Consistent attendance is imperative.
- Must have a valid driver's license & reliable work vehicle with current insurance.
- Must be drug-free, able to pass employment background check, and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
This position is paying $15 an hour.
