DESCRIPTION:
Vanguard Project managers/supervisors are responsible for daily project operation, reporting, and meeting requirements. Managers will interact with Vanguard and the utility customers daily. The manager/supervisor will issue work and instruct the installers on their work in the morning and collect at the end of the day. The manager will need to oversee inventory sign in/out daily, installation quality, and performance goals. The managers will go through a training period on other projects and will be assisted by a regional manager and corporate office staff.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct utility water meter services throughout assigned areas
- Safely and efficiently install the water meters accurately and associated equipment with various hand tools and manage your daily allotment of inventory
- Read & record data information accurately in a mobile hand-held device, computer skills are required.
- Follow standard operating procedures and company policies
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, general public, and installers
- Operate company-supplied vehicle if permitted
- Receive and return meters, tools, equipment, and supplies each day.
Basic Daily Routine:
- Issue tools, handhelds, and work orders to installers in the morning, collecting in the evening
- Coordinate issues with the Customer from Work Order system
- Inspecting daily work previous days. (Training and outline provided)
- Assist in field repairs as necessary
- Install as time allows
- Basic Time sheets, Productions sheets, and Inventory counts daily/weekly
REQUIREMENTS:
- Water Meter, plumbing or relevant experience required.
- Production driven.
- Past management experience is required.
- Must have organizational skills and a professional- like attitude
- Must be computer & handheld device proficient with a knowledge of Microsoft Office/ Excel.
- Must be able to pass a background check & have a valid driver’s license.
- OSHA certified preferred but can be completed after hire.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
Compensation Range:
- Base 40K - 65K Annual
