Duties

- Manage incoming phone calls with professionalism, utilizing effective phone etiquette.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for the medical or dental office.
- Review documentation and medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist patients with inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing information.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for patient management.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform general administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple lines effectively.
- Familiarity with documentation review processes and maintaining medical records.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration is a plus.
