Job Description
The Safety Program Manager will serve as the on-site representative for the Director of AutomatedPeople Mover Systems at the Airport. This individual will oversee the safetyperformance of LINXS Operators and Maintenance Joint Venture (OMJV) and Alstom, ensuringcompliance with federal, state, and local regulations where applicable. The Safety Program Manager willbe responsible for evaluating technical and safety compliance and ensuring alignment with all regulatoryand operational standards.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Transportation Safety, or arelated field.
- Master’s Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field, preferred.
- • Minimum of 15 years of experience in safety management within transportation, infrastructure, or arelated industry.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable safety regulations (OSHA, FTA, DOT, APTA, CPUC General Orders143, 164, 172 and 175, etc.).
- Strong background in technical safety compliance and auditing.
- Experience working with contractors, vendors, and multiple stakeholders in a complex operationalenvironment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and work outside regular business hours as needed.
- May assume other duties as required/needed
- Must be able to walk, stand, and inspect facilities and equipment regularly.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as operational needsrequire.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification or equivalent preferred.
- PTSCTP certification or ability to obtain within two years of employment.
- Ability to obtain security badging.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP
- Experience in rail transit environments.
- Familiarity with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and 49 CFR Part 673 regulations.
- Experience applying and managing incidents using incident command systems and documentation.
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $162,000.00-$173,000.00 .
